About Dean

PhD of Strength & Conditioning / Sports Science

DR Dean Ritchie, is a Performance Coach and Sports Scientist working with elite athletes for 13+ years. An accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach (ASCA) , Weightlifting and Sports Power Coach (AWF) and level 2 Sports Scientist (ESSA). 


As the Strength & Conditioning Lead at the UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai, previously the Australian National Combat Strength & Conditioning Lead, Lead Strength & Conditioning coach, Sports Scientist and Physical Performance Manger for both the Western Bulldogs Football Club and Gold Coast Suns Football Club and experience working with elite track & field athletes, basketball, soccer and tennis athletes, Dean has a wealth of Strength & Conditioning Knowledge.


As a result Dean has in-depth experience in developing and implementing Strength & Conditioning Programs, Athletic Development Programs, Intensive Re-Conditioning Programs and Rehabilitation Programs for a range of elite athletes from elite UFC athletes, Olympic Judo, Boxing and Taekwondo athletes to Professional Australian Rules Football athletes. An internationally published author of peer reviewed research, Dean has a strong foundation in the science of training and blends this with his practical and applied knowledge to create world-class programs that maximise your individual athletic potential.
